Manufacturers' Safety Data Sheets (SDS), technical data sheets and test reports for the material we sell. Download, print and keep a copy on site with the material, as your hazard communication programme requires.
You do not have to come here for it. We send the SDS with the first shipment of every chemical product you order from us, and we will email it to you at any time on request — free, and on paper if you prefer. Ask at alisa@alexglasscorp.com.
Sealants
DOWSIL 795 Silicone Building Sealant
- Safety Data Sheet (PDF) — Limestone, version 12.0, issued 17 December 2023. Dow issues a separate sheet for each colour; ask us for the colour you ordered.
- Technical Data Sheet (PDF) — March 2025.
Seimeda Neutral Silicone Weatherproof Sealant
- Manufacturer's laboratory test report (PDF) — four pages, every item passed. Test methods are GB 16776-2005 and GB/T 13477; this is the manufacturer's own report, not an ASTM certification or a US code approval.
The Safety Data Sheet for this product is not published online by the manufacturer. Email us and we will send it.
Silande MF898 and MF899
Production standards, as printed on the manufacturer's packaging:
- MF898, weatherproofing grade — GB/T 22083 and ASTM C920, class 100/50. Shelf life 12 months.
- MF899, structural grade — GB 16776 and ASTM C920. Shelf life 12 months. ASTM C1184 is not declared.
These are the manufacturer's declarations of the standard it produces to, not independent test reports. The manufacturer publishes no data sheet online; email us for the Safety Data Sheet and the technical data sheet.
Backer rod

Shims and screws
Horseshoe shims, U shims, self-drilling screws and the sausage gun are articles, not chemicals, and carry no Safety Data Sheet. Dimensional and material specifications are on each product page.
Keeping these current
A Safety Data Sheet is replaced by the manufacturer from time to time. The sheets here are the versions we hold, and the date on each one tells you which. If you need confirmation that you are looking at the current version, ask us and we will check with the manufacturer.
