How we get material to you

Everything listed on this site is stocked in our own warehouse at 152 Halladay St, Jersey City, New Jersey. If a product page shows it as available, the material is in the building. Orders are picked and ready to move within 24 hours of being placed on a business day.

Free delivery across New York City

Delivery is free anywhere in New York City — Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island, all five boroughs. We bring it ourselves in our own van and call you to agree a time.

In practice the free zone is a 30 mile radius from the warehouse, so it also covers Bayonne, Newark, Hoboken, Yonkers and the near metro area on both sides of the river.

30 to 50 miles: $50, one pallet

Past the free zone and out to 50 miles we still deliver ourselves, for a flat $50. At that distance we run a full pallet, so orders in this band have a $2,000 minimum. For scale: one pallet of backer rod is about $2,280 and one pallet of silicone is several times that, so the minimum sits just under a single pallet of the lightest thing we sell.

Beyond 50 miles

The checkout cannot price freight, so past 50 miles it will tell you delivery is not available for your address. That is not a refusal. Press Get Volume Pricing on any product page, tell us the quantity and your ZIP code, and we will quote the freight for your address and come back to you the same or the next business day.

Freight, pallets and heavy orders

Any order over 150 pounds cannot travel by parcel carrier and moves by freight on a pallet. For reference, one case of silicone is about 38 pounds and a box of 1,000 quarter-inch horseshoe shims is 84 pounds, so four cases already cross the parcel limit.

Standard freight delivery is curbside. The driver brings the pallet to the back of the truck and no further. If there is no loading dock, no forklift and nobody to receive it, tell us when you ask for the quote and we will price a lift gate with it. Job sites, residences and any address a tractor trailer cannot reach easily are treated by carriers as limited access and carry an extra charge, which we will show you in the quote rather than bill you afterwards.

Checking a freight delivery

This matters, and it is the one thing we ask of you. Inspect the pallet before you sign for it. If anything is crushed, torn, short or wet, write it on the delivery receipt with the driver present, keep your copy, photograph it, and tell us within three business days.

A receipt signed clean becomes the carrier's evidence that the goods arrived in good order. It does not end your rights — damage found after unwrapping can still be reported — but it puts the argument on you, and most carrier tariffs allow only about fifteen days to raise concealed damage. Risk of loss passes when we tender the pallet to the carrier; we file and pursue the claim on your behalf and settle with you once the carrier pays.

Will-call pickup

You are welcome to collect the order yourself. Pickup is by appointment — ask for it when you order, and we will confirm the time and send you the warehouse address and gate instructions.
