Starphire low-iron glass, the extra clear kind. Ordinary clear glass has a green cast that shows on the edge and through thick panes. Low-iron glass has most of that iron taken out, so the edge looks almost colorless and whites seen through it stay white. Common uses: display cases, shelving, tabletops, cabinet doors and back-painted panels.
How it is sold
By the square foot, cut to your size, in 1/4, 3/8 or 1/2 in thickness. Choose the thickness on this page: the price per square foot changes with it. Enter the width and height of the piece and how many pieces of that size you need: the page multiplies width x height x pieces and rounds that area up to the next whole square foot. The minimum order is 5 square feet for all sizes together: a smaller order is charged as 5 square feet.
Holes and edges
Holes are $5 each, 1/8 to 3 inches across: choose how many on this page and tell us where they go and how big. Edges are priced separately. Seamed edges are sanded so they are safe to handle, for edges hidden in a frame or channel. Flat polished and pencil polished edges are for edges that stay in view. Write the edge you want on this page and we confirm the price before anything is cut.

Before you order
Tell us where the glass is going. Shower doors, railings and other safety glazing locations need tempered or laminated glass; we will confirm what can be supplied.
Care
Clean with a soft cloth and a glass cleaner. Spray the cloth, not the glass.
