One way mirror, also sold as two way mirror or surveillance glass, carries a thin reflective coating that lets some light through. It reads as a mirror from the bright side and as dark glass from the dim side. The whole effect depends on the lighting, not on the glass: you need roughly ten times more light on the mirror side than on the viewing side, and if the dark room is lit the illusion disappears. Plan the lighting before you order the glass. The coated face is the vulnerable one and has to be protected inside the installation.
How it is sold
By the square foot. Give us the width and height of each piece and how many you need. Every piece is rounded up to the next whole square foot. The minimum is 5 square feet for the whole order: you can order less and it is charged as 5 square feet.
Choosing a size
Pick one of the standard sizes from the size list, or choose Custom size and type the width and height: the calculator on this page prices it straight away. A single piece cannot be larger than one sheet. For a bigger wall we join panels, so call (866) 823-4523 and we will plan it with you.
Holes and edges
Holes are $15 each, from 1/8 to 3 in. Edges are priced separately: seamed, flat polished or pencil polished.

Before you order
Tell us which side is the mirror side so we orient the coating correctly. Settle the lighting first, because the glass alone will not give you the effect.
Care
Clean the uncoated face with a soft cloth and a mild glass cleaner. Do not scrub the coated face.
